EFL Instructor

ALC Fes is looking for certified, Moroccan or native English-speaking EFL instructors to start in the upcoming academic year. ALC Fes, established in 1962, is based in Fes, Morocco with an annual enrollment of approximately 11,000 students and a staff of 53 teachers.

EFL Instructor Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Two years' classroom teaching experience
  • Experience teaching in a foreign country (for native English speakers)
  • BA/BS degree
  • TESOL, CELTA or other comparable certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Two years of EFL-specific teaching experience
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with classroom management systems/software

Additional qualifications for EFL teachers for young learners (ages 7-10):

  • Experience with children in this age group
  • Teaching experience at a public middle school
  • Effective classroom management skills for young learners

Full-time EFL instructors at ALC Fes typically teach between 600-700 hours per year and are paid monthly. Benefits include: health insurance, retirement, housing allowance, free weekly Arabic instruction (for native English speakers), and up to four annual bonuses.

Part-time EFL instructors (Moroccan nationals only) at ALC Fes typically teach between 200-500 hours per year and are paid for each hour worked at the end of each month. Benefits may include some bonuses.

Classes at ALC run from September to July.
